JK dead after Brake pads replacement
Hi Guys, I changed my rear brake pads last sunday, due to the fact I have only the OEM car-jack I did it in two times one for wheel and each one the Jk was completely dead only disconecting and riconecting the battery I was able to run it.
After that no issues.
Any idea? I sounds like a sort of "Protection mode"....

1. lift the jk once for side
2. wheel off
3. old pads off - old pads on
4. push the piston back
5.wheel on.
6.pump the brake pedal
7 jk dead
8 switch off battery- switch on battery
9 jk ok
this for two times and then no issues, I never changed the battery but it's trange if it was a case….

You're saying it's fine now that you disconnected the battery?
Perhaps (just a guess) your lifting of the vehicle activated the anti-theft system and doing a battery disconnect and reconnect reset it?

I did all four brakes myself on my 2012 Jku and did not have any problem like you describe. I've been following this forum for 7 years and don't recall ever seeing such a problem reported.
