JK Headlight Wiring - Is it Switched-Ground?
Is the stock H13 wiring for the headlights on the JK Wrangler a switched ground system or is it just standard?
I'm just coming over from the world of Toyota's and they were all switched ground.

the headlights and parking lights on the jeeps as well as all chrysler vehicles are multiplexed. This means the wires are not simply positive or negative. DO NOT tap into any wires coming out of the steering column or switch! The way it works is that the switch sends resistance down a single wire for both parking and head lights. The BCM senses this resistance and sends a signal to relays to then turn on the appropriate circuit. It is like 5.6k ohms for parking and 1.3k ohms for headlights or something like that. DO NOT put straight ground to these wires on the switch or you WILL fry the BCM circuit. All basic connections must be made on the relay side (usually under hood) If you are looking for the parking lights its a white with green tracer found under the fuse box next to the battery. Its positive trigger Hope this helps!
