I noticed yours matches the carpet pretty well. I need this in black for my jeep but I read they don't make it in black anymore. How difficult do you think it would be to pry the carpet off the enclosure and glue your own to it?

I would try getting the gret and a can of interior carpet paint in black. Cheaper, cheap enough that if it didn't work, you wouldn't die if you had to re-carpet it later.

Sounds much easier. I've never painted carpet, can you get good results with that? Also, what do you mean by "getting the gret"?

You can get good results. Auto stores should have an interior paint area and something suited for carpet in that section. I've painted a black box grey before, while it took a ton of paint to go lighter, it was still carpet when using fine coats.
