Default Just installed Rockville powered sub.

upgraded all 4 speakers to kickers and added a powered sub. Unfortunately it didn’t fit under my seat so I put in the back. Didn’t take up much space. Highly recommend a sub. Not sure if my 430 Rbz was an upgrade from the 130 in terms of RMS. Overall I’m pleased with the sound . $100 sub, $100 kickers. Well worth the money

Which kickers did you find for that cheap? The plug 'n' play ones are $62-65 on Amazon per pair.

I threw in kickers as well a while back..... Didnt think made much of a difference. The sub is interesting. Where'd you mount and pull power from? Major downside is volume is adjusted up/down with the rear speakers ir looks like?

Just talked to Crutchfield. Yes when you fade front you lose sub. You can wire tap the front Right behind glove box and left rear next to passenger seat pillar. Ran power to battery. I only had one speaker to sub hooked up but guy at crutch said I should have both because of diffent music tracks. Sub kicks ass. $100 on Amazon. Or order direct from Rockville. Had a 10” before and it’s a great product for the money. Wouldn’t waste my time on more expensive ones. Don’t really think there are many that will fit under the seat.

Is this something that should work with the factory 130 HU as well? You just put a different HU in just because you wanted to?

I put a sub in my JKU a couple of years ago and it made the "ho-hum" audio sound quite a bit better (using the 430 HU). Seems if I adjust the HU bass setting to little or no bass and then crank up the kickers' bass it improves the overall sound.

Anyone that has an older JKU with the large sub woofer in the back should try putting their ear right next to the sub. It really sounds like crap. For the life of me I don't know what the "engineers" were thinking. I've been to lazy to try it, but I bet if that old factory installed sub was replaced and that low pass filter were removed it would sound 100% better.
