Default JW Speaker Help

Just received a pair of JW Speakers as a gift and having a little trouble with the wiring of them. I have been searching around to find a wiring diagram but can't find any like mine. The wires have 91 17 18 labeled on the metal plates don't know if that helps. I have the truck lite antiflicker harness so I'm trying to wire the jw speaker into a h4 plug, but can't figure out which wire is which

Looks like the connectors used in military applications. You may want to check with the dealer you received them from- it should be a h4 plug.

17 = High beam
18 = Low beam
16 = Ground

youll have to run a convertor if you want to try and make them work.

but these are 24v LED lights?. They should work either way. If they run at 24v they draw less amps. They should run at 12v will just draw more amps.

Have you tried checking out their website for a schematic?

I would cut off the connecters and make my own by finding out which are ground and which are the low and high beam. Them buy a generic H13 plug and splice them in.

There may be a plug and play adapter...but who knows how long that may take to find.

I gave him the schematic for each wire. They will not work at all on a JK with out a convertor. Your headlights are feed by PWM and do not receive a true 12 volts form the TIPM. JW speaker makes a !@V and a @$ volt light. They are not the same thing.

Your lights won't work unless you use a step up converter. My first set of truck lites were for a 24v system and had to use a step up converter. Since then I've switched to the newest version which are a 3v to 36v application and I no longer needed the converter.

Thanks for the quick responses. As for the converter, am I looking for a step down converter from 24v to 12v?

Thanks again

You are looking for something like this...

http://www.amazon.com/Converter-Regu...iglink20367-20

I would check directly with JW Speaker first. Also have them verify those would only run at 24v...some leds will accept 12 or 24 volts

I see.... couldn't he wire in a relay with true 12v and just trigger it with the factory wires in that case?
