Default kc windshield light brackets

My brackets arrived. Are you all installing them directly against the paint? I was thinking some sort of gasket should go between to allow for a clean removal if ever the need.

I also received the grille covers with the big white KC on the front. I was kind of hoping for the smaller KC that I have seen on others. Does anyone know if this is their new style?

I just used double sided foam and cut them to cover the mounting side that was against the paint.

I bought a cheap gasket kit and cut it the same shape as the bracket. Works well

depending on the lights you're using you may regret the windshield mounted setup, I got so much glare off the hood. I stopped using them, bought some HID's and moved them upfront to the bumper. " I CAN SEEEEEEE!!!!!!"
