Default Kicker Upgrade

Has anyone done the Kicker upgrade for their stock 2012 unlimited speakers in dash and or soundbar? If so, was it worth $80.00? Is there really a difference in sound or bass?

I replaced my front speakers and soundbar speakers with the replacement Kicker 6 1/2'' speakers. In my opinion, coupled with an aftermarket head unit (or better of the head units offered from the dealer), the sound is better. They don't put off much more bass if that's what you're asking or looking for. To achieve that, I believe you'll need to opt for a better sub if yours came with one, or an aftermarket sub/amp.

For $160 total ($80/pair) plug-n-play speakers, I thought it was a simple purchase.

Ok so I just replaced the 4 6.5 factory speakers with the Mopar Kicker replacement speakers and I can say without a doubt that it sounds 10times better. It has a fuller and clearer sound withess distortion at higher volumes. I would definitely recommend these speakers. I'm sure there are tons better out there but for 134.00 for four speakers shipped, you can't beat it. The sound bar was incredibly easy to replace while the front dash speakers were a pita at least on the driver side.

Go to amazon and buy them for a cheaper price, remember to get kicker components (ds series) for the front and kicker coax (ds series) for the sound bar. Fosgate sells a 4 channel amp that sits perfectly in the dash, but I added a fan to it and hooked to the remote turn on, on the amp for cooling purposes. Hope this helps a little, but you guys probably knew this. Good luck everyone, oh it sounds great, without a new head unit.

Forgive me but I am a little confused by this post (I am an electronics dummy lol). Do I not just order 2 sets of these?

I did the full deal and it sounds great..

I installed the 4 kicker speakers in the dash and soundbar.. I polyfilled my soundbar and that helps it out quite a bit..

installed the Kicker square 10 in sub and its accompanying amp. as well as the kicker 4.1 AMP for the rest of the speakers..

all plug and play.. no wire cutting whatsoever.. I like the sound better than my previous JKs with infinity..

In the dash you have a mid range speaker and a tweeter on top of the dash (component / separates) total of 4 speakers in the front. As you know you have two coax speakers in the sound bar for a total of two more speakers. Total stock replacement of speakers is six.

Yes you are 100% correct, the poly fill makes a huge difference in the dash, sound bar, and if you use a sub box!
