Kinetik Batteries
Alrite well its time for me to upgrade to a new battery, I was going to get a Diehard Platinum Battery and then a small Kinetik battery, but from what I been reading on reviews, looks like im better off just buying a bigger kinetik battery as my primary battery to power the jeep and my small system. Just wondering who on here has a Kinetik Battery, what size did you buy and how do you like it. Im looking at getting the 1400watt up to 2000watt.
I have a Kinetik 1400 in my other car, and have been very happy with its performance. It maintains a higher voltage vs the Optima redtop it replaced, and will crank longer when it is run down (I don't drive that car every day). It is the only brand I recommend, having switched from Optima (which I have run previously for the past 5 years).
When I do the audio system in the Jeep, I will be replacing the stocker with a Kinetik.

Before you buy, check out the warranty of both the Kinetic and Sears Platinum batteries.
They are both AGM batteries.
Kinetic warranty: 1 year. No pro-rate after that. (From talking to Kinetic personally.)
Sears Platinum: 4-Year Free Replacement; 100-Month Prorated Limited Warranty
I think you will find the Sears Platinum warranty and convenience of support is well worth it.

I'm waiting to see if I get a better deal on friends and family night at sears, since I work there I get my discount on top of that nights discount. I guess the warranty would be an advantage, but kinetik batteries have higher cranking amps.

I couldn't find the cca rating on their web site. Do you know what the various batteries are rated for?
I've got a good deal on a yellowtop in the classifieds:

I'll even entertain offers.

Here is a PDF of their specs: http://www.kinetikaudio.com/manuals/khccells.pdf
I miss-took the specs and was looking at CA = Cranking Amps, which technically for me CCA wouldn't matter so much, since I live in south texas which we hardly see 32 degree cold weather. But I was able to find a conversion for CA to CCA whichi is multiply CA X 80% = CCA
So here we go:
HC1400: 1150 CA = 920 CCA
HC1800: 1350 CA = 1080 CCA
HC2000: 1500 CA = 1200 CCA
Hope the conversion I found is legit, unless some electrical or battery engineer wants to chime in. The conversion equation I found on a Boating website since, CA is sometimes considered as MCA which means Marine Cranking Amps.
