I say hid's, buy some projector light housings if u like the look, then spend the several hundred dollars left on more mods
good hid kits will run you less than $100 for your headlights and your fogs. You'd have enough money left over to put a shit load more lights on

Projectors looks like nipples, seen both and own trucklites couldn't be happier with them, super nice flow of white light with barely any energy usage with the fact that you will virtually never have to replace them is a nice thought, doesn't hurt to know that if you ever have your lights on with the car off, that the battery won't die on you

With the truck lite do you have the flickering problem? If so how did you fix it?

Just put in a stand alone harness thats triggered off the stock circut and be done with it. the stock headlight circit is pretty shitty any way.
Hid's are nice but the kits seem to be pretty hit or miss.

Personally i think the engineer or engineers at chrysler who decided the lights should be computer controled should be taken out front and pubicly flogged.

i bought SEVERAL HID kits offline. i got them off amazon, ebay, and ddm tuning. i had a problem getting it to work with my jeep. i got so pissed off i said to hell with it and just put the PIAA bulbs in. the PIAA bulbs are good. people hate me at night, BUT when it rains theyre horrible. my visibility sucks when it rains and the high beams suck. i just stumped upon the JW speaker headlights last week. im thinking about putting out the extra money so i can see at night.

HID is a pain in the ass with the electrical system. They also heat up the glass headlamps enough to crack them if they get splashed. Go with LED

All LED lights flicker on the Jeep JK. Some reason they decided PWM to save power was useful......

To get rid of flicker you can either use a HID relay, which can't trigger fast enough for the flicker to show up, or a filtering harness. A I've seen mention of a small number of companies who are making harnesses, I ordered through TLG-Auto but they've gotten backlogged with orders lately.

never had a problem hooking up HIDs and ballasts from DDM tuning. They are plug and play. No splicing or anything. No problems with them but have had problems with various eBay HID kits, ur right about that. I've got the ddm tuning hid's and paid less than 100 for fogs and headlights and no problems.
I agree the projectors look like nipples but I don't like the way the jw speakers or truck lites look either. To each their own though. The HIDs out out more than enough light and are night and day from stock.
I guess it depends what the OP wants to spend. Personally, I'd rather buy the HIDs and a new bumper, roof rack, stereo stuff or winch with the left over $$ tho
