Depends which brand you get. Many put door trim pieces on to keep the rear fins from vibrating, mine doesn't make any hum.

My 50" Rigid Industries had a god awful whine. I posted a thread about it awhile back and even drew up a sketch of a stupid rubber isolator idea that I had which could be stuffed between the fins. Turns out that the Rigid guys must be on this forum because a few months later I read how Rigid is handing the EXACT rubber isolator free of charge to anyone who bought their light bar. The isolator works like a charm, not a single sound now. Though, over time the isolator has gotten a little loose and can slip out. My suggestion is put a dab of black RTV to hold it in place

My KMA Fabrications lightbar with two Rigid-style LED lights doesn't make any noise that is noticable over the stock Rubi tires. Even with the top and doors off.
