Default LED Lighting Mod... fuse keeps blowing?

I did the LED dash lighting mod where I tapped into the A/C controls dimmer wire and cigarette lighter ground (driver's side) to install an LED strip in my dash panel. Everything works perfectly but I keep blowing the 20amp M5 fuse. This is the 2nd time this fuse has blown since I've done the mod a couple months ago. Anyone have any idea why this could be happening?

My first thought would be a bad connection that is causing higher resistance, or bad ground as mentioned above.

It's a 6 led strip, like you get at PepBoys or Autozone. I think you're right though... if I'm only grounding to the cig lighter black wire, then that might be the problem. Is there bare metal somewhere behind the dash console I can ground to?

Never and I stress never tap into wires behind the dash. The Jk has a canbus system and you are always going to have problems unless you use a special tap for that system. Like this http://www.quadratec.com/products/96080_98.htm
You should always run dedicated power for any accessory you run.

You're probably right, but hundreds of JK owners have been tapping into the electrical in various places without any problems.
