Lifespan of higher Kelvin and/or wattage headlamps

Howdy All,

I did not find what I was searching for. I recently upgraded my headlights to the Hella E codes and put some 60/55W Osram bulbs in. The bulbs were a step up from regular on the Kelvin chart(3100K or something like that, I slept since I put them in).

Anyway on the back of the package it showed average lifespans of the higher Kelvin bulbs, the highest in the 4000K range was only rates for 50 hours. Is this accurate? I would hate to pay for premium bulbs if they only last for such a short amount of time.

Also, does this reduced lifespan apply to the higher wattage bulbs :?:

Please be patient with my ignorance, and thanks for any useful info.
