Light bar switch mounting

I recently purchased a 20 inch led light bar to mount on my 2015 unlimited rubicon. I need suggestions where to mount the switch. In the dash there appears to be extra slots next to the heated seat switch or over next to the differential lock switch. Is this actual ya usable area or do I need to cut a hole in the dash? Is it possible to put in the A-pillar as well? Don't mean to ramble but I'm an idiot when it comes to this stuff

I recently installed a 20" light bar and went with the rugged ridge A pillar mount. Looks OEM.

Behind the factory switches there is a circuit board so using the blanks wouldn't be easy. It would involve sanding down the blanks and installing a micro-switch with epoxy. There is a video on youtube. He said he was going to post another video of it actually hooked up but he never did, so I'm guessing it isn't as easy, or maybe dependable, as he thought.

You don't have to buy the rugged ridge version you can use your factory cover. I'm adding another switch in a week or so to mine

Thanks for the replies. I really like that on the a-pillar. How do you get the wires in there? Is it hard to fish it up through there?

It's actually extremely easy (I just did the same thing) You remove the visor, then the christmas tree screw out of the 2nd hole down on the a-pillar. Pull that trim piece off and the middle a-pillar is just clips. The side of the dash pops right off and running the wires is a breeze

It's so easy and clean with the plasma glow switches they are little more money but worth it. I got the black ones so you can't see them
