Default Light wiriing Question

Alright guys I just a new HighRock Stubby Bumper with the Hoop. I also got some new Apollo Pro Driving lights to hook up. My question is how have you guys ran the wires into the engine compartment and hooked them up to the battery? Have you ziptied them to the hoop or is there another way? Just looking for idea's on how to run the wires from the lights down and to the battery. Thanks!

I would modify the hoop by running the wires internally. Bring the wires out at the base of the hoop. Then up under the bottom of the grill to the engine bay.

Ditto! That's what I did on my body armor bumper.... Hallow hoop so I drilled a hole and ran the wire thru it, very clean look, my current led sits on top of the hoop of my rugged ridge bumper and it's about an inch from the winch wires and the same size so I just went with them.

I've searched and searched and can't find what im looking for...how is everyone running the wires up to the battery from the front bumper? I actually ran mine under the sway bar and up along the side of the fan unit.. Everything is clear, loomed, and clean. Any problems with heat is my main concern? What do you guys think? There's wires everywhere in there already so I didn't think this would be a problem. Mine comes up the side of the radiator and then around the air box to the battery. Sound okay? Probably stupid question, but I worry a lot, and I also don't like letting people work on my jeep. I saw where the factory wires run up the frame and then to the side of the engine to the battery, but it was tight in there so I chose to go where there was room . Plenty of zip ties and there not getting hit by any moving parts, but heat is the concern....

Two things to consider. #1) Don't install the wires so they can be damaged by moving parts or by contacting the ground ( if you drag bottom ). Keep the wires protected from abrasion. #2) Don't tie the wires directly to anything that makes heat. IE: Radiator hoses, compressor hoses and definately not the engine block or header /exhaust pipes. Anything else is fair game.

Only other advice is: Try to make your installation aesthetically pleasing. Group new wires with old existing wires. Or just simply fallow naturally forming lines made by individual components. Don't just simply string wires from point A to point B. Completely hide the wires where possible. The wires themselves can take a lot of heat. And using Wire Loom increases the protection factor.

Hope This Help's.
