Default lock-pick rear view camera issue

So I just finished installing the lock-pick into my 08 Rubi. I bought the camera from the same sight even though its expensive. To make a long story short, when i double click the power in FM the camera works. It wont activate with Sat radio though. More importantly when I put the car into reverse (standard trans) i get a blank video screen and you can see the little reminder that says to examine your surroundings but no image. Anyone have the same issue or have any ideas? Thanks

The camera will work only in reverse or when on fm. Did you use the correct line for the power?

i used the correct wiring. it works in FM the way its supposed to but in reverse I just get a blank screen as though there is no camera attached. Its a little strange. I double checked the wiring. Its trying to show the camera in reverse but there simply is no image.

I was just reading another post and had a thought. The other wire (the yellow) from the lock pick... since that is hot all the time would that fix the problem? Is there any downside to having the camera powered ll the time?

I had this same issue, and I solved it by using the other power wire -- works fine now. I assume(d) that my harness was wired in error.
