Also, i am looking to buy a used MyGig for my 2007 JK. Are there different sizes for the different years or will a MyGig from an 07, 08 or 09 all fit my 07?

Thanks in advance.

One final clarification...I currently have the stock RES stereo. Any install issues that I'm gonna run into?

I know if your buying used any will fit you just need to make sure it's a "high speed" unit. They made two types and one wont work with the other. As far as plugging in I wouldn't think you would have any problems as it should be plug and play. While your at it you should get the UConnect mic and have bluetooth hands free.

I had the stock RES unit and bought a REN my gig ( the non nav unit) from a member on here . I unpluged the RES took it out and plugged the REN right in. its as easy as that. my understanding is that all mygigs REN and RER units are sirus radio compatible ( spelling). I love the mym gig so far

RES is with Nav... either REN or RES have sirius capabilities.

Low Speed WILL NOT WORK... you will need a high speed bus.

Also, things to consider, what will you be connecting to it. If you want to connect the iPod to it, you'll need an adapter from Mopar... and you'll need to be sure that you get the RES from an '09. Bluetooth will already be installed on the one from '09, but will just need to be enabled. Also consider buying a microphone for it, so that you get more than just listening to a conversation, you actually get to speak into it

I have the Non Infinity system...do I need a different adapter? I'd like my iPod to be hooked up and the bluetooth as well. So I need to try and grab one off an '09 for the bluetooth?

From what I've read, you can add bluetooth to an 07 or 08... but they are already part of the 09 systems. Additionally, my understanding is that you'll need the bluetooth to be working for the iPod adapter to be working... though when I did my upgrade, I wasn't able to test this, since I already had the 09 radio (from a dodge ram) and the bluetooth was already running.

I've not done an upgrade with the non-infinity system, so to be honest, I have no idea.

consider looking at the "unofficial mygig site" (top entry when doing a google search)
mofv.com/mygig/

it seems to have tons of information, and I've found it very useful
