Why? There are several board members here that have bought one from an ebay member named cd.1 or something like that. They are offering a 1yr warranty on them too.

Dealers amaze me. They tell people whatever they want to even though what they are saying is a blatant lie! Or they are so ignorant they just tell people something like this instead of taking the time to do a little research for a potential customer.

I have read several forums where people have bought the MyGig off of e-bay and have been very happy with it. Like above it is a plug and play installation.

Default eBay

Well, not that I haven't used eBay before to purchase stuff ... I'll get in touch with the seller of the one I found on eBay and ask him specifics and make sure I understand his return policy.

Thanks for all your info guys.

Did you need a flash to get it to work? Does the DVD work? Some states the DVD is supposed to be disabled...Thanks!

I'd like to get one, but need to know if there is any type of a serial output connection on the back of it. I need NEMA output to connect to my ham radio, and don't think the MyGig does that.

i dont think it does. all self-contained.
there is a cable to connect the Trail Guide (garmin) to a computer... but I doubt it will connect with the unit in the dash cradle.

that said... my old GPS (Magellan MAP330x) uses a serial cable. My laptop doesnt have a serial port and the last adapter I bought locked my computer up.... another reason why I'm gonna get the trail guide. I have a 6-disk coming to replace my single disk. that'll cover my DVD needs.

no it has no 6 disc changer - what for? it has 20 gigs of memory. You can load hundreds of discs into the memory.
