Default MYGIG / UConnect HELP PLEASE

Hello All:

Please if somebody can help me .
I buy Radio in Ebay (MyGIG REN ) Part # 5064759ac, install in a Wrangler 2009 and it works perfect 

Today I come to the dealer to install the Uconnect and the Ipod cable, they said to me that the part numbers for My Radios are:

UConnect
Part # 82211004AB

Ipod Cable
Part # 82211263AB

They installed and flash both but they do not obtain that the UConnect works, you push the button UConnect and said Uconnetc not Install.

I am here in the Dealer, can help me with some idea Please

Thanks

Francisco

I don't know how relevant this will be as I don't have a mygig, but when I had them flash my RES radio for uconnect, they said they could never get it to work. However when I picked it up, I tried the button on the way home and it was working. I say give it some time (maybe as much as 1/2 hour?) and see if it'll work.

Or you can just take it it from them and hope they don't charge you for the "non-working" flash and see if it might just start working. I ended up not having to pay for the flash because of this.

Thanks,

I have been seated here in dealer for 5 hours hoping that this thing (MYGIG) wants to work. Somebody has some additional idea.

Thanks for all

Francisco

I tried the same thing with an REN radio in my JK, and the parts you listed, and it would never work. Same module would work with my RES/REQ radios, but not the REN. I truly believe in my mind that there is something in the radio blocking it out on the JK. dsy on here got his working by adding the ALLGIG to it. I finally gave up, sold all the parts, and used those to fund a low price RER off eBay.

Mine did this when I first installed it and took it back to the dealer and they had to use the starscan tool to enable Uconnect and had forgotten to do so... there is an engineering menu they have to go into and turn it on before Uconnect will function.

Good luck.

Not sure about the REN model, but with the RER model you can access the engineering menu without the starscan tool (you just push the menu button and the forward and reverse seek buttons at the same time). Once in the engineering menu, you just flip through the menu until you get to the option to turn on the uconnect. I can't recall the specific option but I know there are threads on here that give the directions.

There is a ton of information about them and setting them up on the site below. Including updated software.
