Which Nav Head Unit?

I am looking into getting an aftermarket Nav. Our Jeep is not a daily driver but the wife does drive it to work usually twice a week. She gets lost pulling out of the drive way. :D So I would like to find the best nav for the 2011 JK. I know I will lose the UConnect, but is there a head unit that would still work with the steering wheel controls and Sirius antenna? Also is there a head unit that I could get a back up camera with too? :dontknow2:

Most NAV headunits will have a rev camera option, and most can integrate with the factory steering wheel controls, but you will lose the factory sirius in most cases, but all is not lost. Some radios require a sirius antenna to be installed, and you can transfer your sirius subscription.

Alpine, Pioneer, JVC and kenwood all make nice NAV and DVD/NAV units.

My wife has a JVC KW NT1 in her JK, it has the option for rear camera, steering wheel controls and Sat radio. Has a HD card slot, as well as USB/IPOD/IPOD video. Its set up for bluetooth, and plays DVDs.

Why not upgrade to a MyGig? You won't lose any features like Uconnect or Sirius. Also it's most plug and play instead of dealing with aftermarket wiring.

$1600 for the works VS $800-$1000 for the headunit, dash install kit $20, and $20-$80 for harness depending if its a factory amplified system.

I am a fan of keeping the interior of my Jeep as clean and stock as possible. So I would be a fan of the MyGig. Aftermarket head units IMO make the interior feel a little cheap, due to the lack of uniformity. But to each their own.

Good luck shopping op!!

every once and a while you see mygig nav units go on ebay for about 500 or so. Usually it is around 700 but in the past few months I have see two in the 500's.

Is the mygig just plug and play and ready to go? I would like to keep it factory looking if it is reasonable priced. I just thought it would cost a lot more. I do have the infinity system. Is the mygig the same for the 2011 as it is for the 2007-2010?
