Default Need help with KC Daylighter install...

Need help!!!

I installed my KC Daylighters and can't get the lights to come on. I read and re-read the directions. The little green LED on the switch is turning on, but nothing from the lights. I grounded the lights to the windshield mounts and the switch to some bare metal under the dash.

Any thoughts? Am I missing something easy?

Thanks
- Andy

The switch is grounded. My windshield mounts are painted and that's where I grounded each light. When I get home I'm going to try to ground the lights somewhere else. I forgot that the paint acts as an insulator.

Thanks....

In the engine compartment, I spliced a bigger O shaped connector on the end and used the actual engine compartment ground for a light ground. Inside the dash near the driver's door, there is a small bolt that I used as a ground. The panel removes easily. That layer of paint is what is messing your connection up! You need bare metal.

I did the same thing. when i put lights on my yj, no problem using the bracket as a ground. With the JK, no ah ah. I just ran a ground wire into the engine compartment and attached them to the ground straps.

Update....

Neither of the lights were grounded properly. I lengthened the ground wires and attached them to the inner fenders where some other wires were already grounded. Everything works.

Thanks for the help!!!!!!

Glad to hear they are working. Mine are bright as hell, make the hi-beam headlights look dim! I want to mount a set in the spare tire to blind tailgaters. (or to see what is behind me is the story I tell the cops)
