Default Need Help wiring horn

Hello everyone , I am looking for some help in wiring an air horn .
This horn has a small compressor a couple of trumpets and a relay .The relay has the following numbers :87-30-85-86 which correspond to a terminal.I was not sure how to connect so I didn't use the relay.
I spliced into the two wires which go to the factory horn and attached to the small air compressor .
Worked great for a couple of beeps. then the fuse blew .
Do I need to use the relay so that the fuse doesnt blow?
If so how do I connect the wires ?
Your help will be appreciated .

Yes you need the relay. The compressor draws too much in the horn circuit. Don't forget to fuse the new circuit.
