need recommendations for cheap stereo upgrades from amazon
I have some amazon gift cards I'd like to use to do slight upgrades to the stereo on my 2012 jku sport. Honestly, if I had the infinity system, I probably wouldn't even bother. But since I have the base crappy stereo/speakers, anything would be an upgrade. I'm not looking for audiophile sound or to make something that can be heard miles away...I just want something I can listen to with the top down without being super-distorted.
I was going to start with the 77kicker10's for the soundbar:
JEEP WRANGLER JK KICKER SPEAKER UPGRADE : Amazon.com : Automotive
Then move on to head-unit, but I'm still undecided when it comes to single/double din. My main requirements are android/pandora/bluetooth-streaming support. Other nice-to-have's, but not requirements, are built-in HD tuner, hands-free calling, usb, dvd, etc.... I'm trying to keep it cheap, so I imagine a single din would be best. I'm also worried about security, I intend on leaving my jeep in parking lots w/top-down on occasion. What do you guys do about security? Do you guys remove faceplates, or leave it in and just risk-it? If I have a cheap radio, I'm not going to be too worried about it if it gets stolen, but I don't want to have to repair my dash and replace a radio once a year either.
As for wiring harness, steering wheel controls, and bezels (1din or 2din) any cheap recommendations on those?
