Default New MyGig under warranty

The MyGig that came with my 2007 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon decided to reboot itself about every 30 seconds recently. It would hang with the screen that says it was starting the navigation system. It would then go blank and restart with the Jeep logo and go through the whole process again. Very annoying.

Anyway, the Jeep dealership replaced it under warranty. I am wondering if I got a new version of the MyGig? The fonts and icons are slightly different, and it seems MUCH faster responding to touching the buttons on the screen and the navigation map seems to be much faster and smoother scrolling. Overall it seems much snappier.

What is the latest version of the MyGig software? My new one says 9.665. My previous one was updated with a DVD I burned from a link on here and I don't remember what version it was.

Not sure... I'll let you know Monday after I get the new MyGig installed at the dealer. The old one (two months old, haha) went tits up... hard drive crashed. No Nav, no mp3s, no traffic updates...

But, at least it's under warranty, right?

Angry 2nd Warranty MyGig Due to Constant Rebooting

I had constant rebooting problems as well (every 30 seconds) back in November, and took it to the dealership, which took a month to replace because they did it along with the brake recall which messed everything up...

BUT, after having the MyGig replaced new, only 4 months go by and I'm having the same problem with the brand new MyGig. It's in the shop now again for another replacement....

My concern is that this is a serious problem with the software/hardware connections and that the MyGig will fry out every 4-6 months...what happens after the warranty?

Does anyone else have this problem??

Alex

My dad just had his replaced for the "Navigation is being activated" display. This was the only indication on the screen. Dealer said it was a bad hard drive.
