Default Pilot Driving lights help

Ok guys im stuck, Ive been searching and trouble shooting this all morning.

Im trying to hook up the Pilot driving lights in place of my factory fog lights. Ive been reading yes you need a relay and no you dont.. It seems like its a case by case basis. I have them hooked up and they came on for a sec or two then went out. They did that a couple of times. I checked all my connections. So it seems like i need a relay. Having never installed a relay i come to you for help. How would i wire a relay in and do i even need one? Almost ready to go back to the factory fogs at this point...lol Thanks for any help....

they guy at autozone told me (after i paid ) that these pilot lights are really inconsistent. He said "keep your receipt, they either wont last long or they will last forever."

I got their fog lights and wired them up with their harness they provided, the only issue was the wires coming from the lights themself were so small they slipped out of the crimped connectors.. After i fixed that they work great. I just have to return the switch i got from autozone because sometimes it won't power them on, and it gets really hot and the screw in the back lets loose making the switch loose..

But i got these lights.

Hmmm I upgraded the bulbs in my fogs but I wonder how much better these are...
