PORTABLE solution for iPAD?

does anyone have a NON permanent solution for running an iPAD in the jeep? I see writeups where people have cut their dashes, made custom enclosures, etc.. but im looking for a good way just to use the iPAD for GPS on a trip..

I DONT want to block my center Air-cond vents.. I NEED those blowing on me..

I DONT want to drill holes in my dash or do anything to scratch up the interior....

what do you guys use?

I will have one as soon as my last Ram mount shipment gets here. Fedex will pick it up today!

So, stay tuned!

Here's mine. I used a mic mount, then attached ram-mounts, iPad mount is also from Ram-Mount. It fits the original iPad, not the smaller iPad-2. What's nice is that it's portable and you can orient it portrait or landscape.

Also since this is on a ram-mount, it can be raised, lowered or moved around, depending on the lenght of the mounting arm

Google Proclip. You can chose the exact make, model, year and device that you want to mount. This clips on to the top panel above the radio and the only thing it really covers is the radio. No holes, no screws, just clips to the edges. Sorry I don't have any pics, but I like the location. I don't have to look down to see it.

this looks like exactly what I want.. I dont care if the radio is covered up as I will plug tghe iPad into my U-connect.. or if my u connect doesnt like it i'll use the front jack wit ha right angle plug and use the iPAD for volume control....

thanks for the tip!

It's a Clinometer by Rugged Ridge. Do a search on 4Wheel Parts., part # RUG13309.01 Only $20. Shows roll angle and pitch, and includes a compass. Nothing needed to make it work, but the self adhesive backing is severly lacking. I ended mounting it on a Daystar top dash storage system. Nothing too impressive, but fun to watch when you're wheeling :ya:

Sick they have one that doesn't have the compass and lights up I think I'm going to get that one since I already have a compass and love night wheeling :)
