Default Power Through Firewall

This may seem like a dumb question to some:
How does one get a wire through the firewall?? ... and where?
Thanks.

The link is to a thread started by CaptSam54. It is an EXTREMELY simple and easy solution.

On the drivers side of the fire wall about a foot down from the hood is a round black circle that you can push through and run your wires. From inside the car its to the left of the steering column up about six inches. It's kind of a gooey sticky material that will kind of form a seal around your wires if you don't get to crazy when you punch through.

Thanks so much FiveOff! It took me 15 min. to completely wire my CB. I guess I should really thank CaptSam!! I did a search before and didn't come up with his solution, but it turned out great. Thanks Again!

Default Another option

I just wired up all my lights and CB and used the Mopar windshield wiring harness, in it's instructions it shows the wires running through an existing grommet on the drivers side firewall where the rear washer hose goes. It's near the top of the firewall and I made an X cut in it and fished all the wires through all neat and tidy. It took two people to fish the wires as the hole is not visible from inside the cab.

That is where I ran the wires for my Hella's power switch on the dashboard.

Default Very easy

I used the advice posted pulling the side panel on the passenger side. Very easy, took all of 30 seconds to pull panel and reveal where the wire can pass through the firewall.

Thanks for the great tip.
