Add an amp that can use speaker level inputs and use your current wires going into your sub as the input signal for it. then plug the amp into the new sub.

So all you need to do is take the speaker wires form the sub and put them into the amp and plug the new amp into the new sub? So the mygig does not have pre amp outputs could you use the lock pick or some thing like that?

yup. The reason I say to pull the signal there is that the rear channel is crapped cause they want to stop the soundbar from buzzing. You can pull the signal going into the current sub either by using a line level converter or having an amp that can handle speaker level input. I would get an amp with speaker level input if I wanted a cheap and ez solution. The lockpick doesn't really give you RCA out like that. The best way to get a signal for a sub amp would be to use the clean sweep by JL audio or the 3sixty by fosgate. That will sum the signals and then let you process them how you like.
