I just installed a MyGIG REN With Sirius NON NAV for the JK , I did purchase this on eBay from CD1 as recommended by a couple others so my question is do I need to have my VIN info updated with the dealer to include my purchase?

 

I doubt they will...since you didn't buy it from an authorized dealer.

I installed my mygig bought on ebay. My dealership added it to the dealer installed options, after verifying installation. They also said that they did add to the vehicle computer because there was an "error" of some sort. Not quite sure what exactly. There was another member who had his mygig (purchased on e-bay) installed at the dealership and added to the vin. He said he had a problem with ti, and they replaced it under warranty. If I find his post I shall forward it to you.

 

if you get the mygig added to your vin as a dealer installed option it will be covered under the vehicles warranty

 

I believe CD1 on Ebay is an actual Chrysler dealer in Michigan. Email him and tell him to add the Mygig to your VIN. I bought my Mygig from Wyckoff Chrysler and I emailed them with my VIN and they added it no problem for warranty reasons if I needed it.

 

I checked it out MR CD1 is not a Chrysler Dealer Oh well...
