Default questions about lights

Hi Guys just finished wiring in a set of KC lights on the bumper very easy with KC wiring harness and instructions from this site. One thing I did was run the hot wire from the battery instead of tapping in to my head lights. Kc did list that as a option in the instructions and it seemed the easy route for me. Any pros or cons to that method?

Now to my Hella lights FF50's I have 2 sets four lights total at 55watt each for my windshield light bar. They supplied a wiring kit not a harness like I wanted. SO I have a 30 amp relay, and a 20 amp switch, no fuse, and only one color of wire Black 14 gauge, along with the necessary clips etc... per set of 2 lights.

Now my question can I wire these lights all together if I upgrade the switch to 30 amp and keep the 30 amp relay? Should I add in a fuse too? I plan on wiring these into the battery instead of tapping the factory head lights just seems easier. I am going to buy different color wire just to help keep things simple and plus they didnt provide enough.

Thanks for any help.

Pro: You can opperate your lights even with the key out of the ignition.
Con:You can opperate your lights even with the key out of the ignition. And run your battery down.
It's best to use an accessory circuit for control ( switch ) power. So all your lights go off when you remove the key.

Now my question can I wire these lights all together if I upgrade the switch to 30 amp and keep the 30 amp relay? Should I add in a fuse too? First of all. The switch is fine. It only turns on the relay. Next, buy 2 fuse holders. One for the primary power ( relay ). And one for the control power ( switch ). Set everything up just like the previous system. Now for the instalation: The #14 wire is OK to use from the relay to the lights "ONLY" if you connect no more than two lights per wire. I prefer to run a wire to each light. For the primary wire ( battery to relay ) you will need a minimum of #12. And preferably #10. The primary fuse will be 20A. And the control fuse will be 3A.
