Default radio install help!

Installing a aftermarket radio for my godson and he has an 04 WJ with a factory amp and factory CD changer. I wired everything right, I believe but not getting sound or just static plus even when playing a CD no sound. Please help!

I've had 4 grand Cherokees and 2CJ's and my now JK but its been 10 years since I installed anything radio wise in a aftermarket radio setting with a factory amp.

Welcome to the forum. Did you use an aftermarket integration harness. Or did you cut and splice the old school way?

Used a harness. The radio works with sound and the CD player does play due to the timer count down on the display. But no sound.

Your sayin that the radio works normally? But the CD does not produce sound? If this is the case, your having problems with your Head Unit.

I had a feeling so but I couldn't take the chance that something wasn't hooked up properly my godson got this for his Christmas present and had asked me to install it. I think he would be broken hearted if you knew that now he's gotta try to return it a lot of times after you install you can't return it.

I am having a similar problem, except mines an 11 and I have no sound at all. I have a pioneer p4400bh dvd. I have wired all the harnesses (c2r-chy4, swi-ps, swi-can2) and everything works except the sound. It plays dvd, ipod, cd, everything...but no sound. I have a buddy that suggested it may be the antenna adapter, I ordered the wrong one the first time around. So I have not plugged the antenna adapter in...any suggestions?
