Default rear bumper reverse lights

HAPPY 4th my friends, I've put a new rear bumper on with 3rd brake light and reverse lights built in, brake light set up is all set BUT I have a single wire for the reverse lights to work should I tap into the pass side or drivers side ? OR does it matter...thanks for your help

It shouldn't matter but I went with the driver's side since there's already extra wire in there for the trailer wiring. I think it's one of the corner wires. I had all of mine labeled on that connector at one point in time.

I went with a dedicated switch. It lets me use them when setting up camp at night helping others with night repairs and the A-hole that won't dim his brights behind me.

I agree with this....I think dedicated switch is a better option as it gives you a bit more functionality. Realistically you don't REALLY need those bumper lights triggered every time you back up....at least I don't see that need unless you are running aftermarket taillights without a reverse light built in. If you run it to a separate switch if gives you total control over using them for other random rearward light purposes.
