Default rear tail Light not working

So today I got the warning on the dash that my right turn signal isn't working. Changed the bulb still not working, changed it again still nothing, swapped it with the other side nothing. The bulb is good it worked in the left side, all the wiring harness looks good. I tried wiggling all the conections and the bulb to see if anything was loose still nothing. The running light works but no break lights and no turn signal on the right side. Anyone got any ideas?

I had this problem before and the cause was the neighbors dog chewed the trailer pig tail hook up. If you have that you can check this to see if the wires are good. Also check fuses

I assume you checked fuse M18. That's the one from All Data that seems to power the right rear lamps. Next thought a ground to that side? Try the 4 way flashers, does the right side work? Next, do you have the tow package? If so, check the connections. Lastly, compare voltages and grounds from left to right with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with using a meter, get a friend to help. BTW, when you remove the right lamp assembly, the entire assembly can be unplugged. Check the plug for a bad pin, corrosion, on either the lamp or harness end. Be careful disconnecting as there is (I think) a little red locking clip that can be broken if not careful. Let us know what you find. Good luck

I know the pigtail for the trailer is ok its plugged into a brake light that mounts in the receiver and that works. When i put on the 4 ways onlt the left side flashes. I'll pull the left light and check the conections there. Didn't know about fuse M18 don't know why I didn't think to check fuses. I'll get out the multimeter if its not the fuse.
Thanks for the tips.

Fuses M17 and M18 are for the park lamps front and rear. The turn signal/brake signal power comes from the TIPM through a circuit with no fuse. (Not the high center brake light, though. That's a hardwired circuit through fuse M1. No computer involved.)

My guess is you have a bad power connection, a bad ground connection, or the bulb isn't making good contact in the socket. The right stop/turn power goes over a white/yellow wire into the light housing. You should probe the wire to see if it has power on it when the brake pedal is depressed.
A problem in the TIPM is a possibility, too. Sometimes disconnecting the battery negative terminal will reset things.

I pulled the left tail light to check those conections. Everything looked good, disconnected everything all the pins looked good put it all back together and it worked. Went to the store and on the way home it went out again pulled it all apart again everything still looked good, put the tester on the trailer connector not working there. Took the pigtail out for trailer lights and all is good again. Hopefully I got it. Thanks for the help.

Ronjenx, thanks for re-directing the issue around the fuse to the TIPM. Hopefully the problem is resolved for good.

My headlights, tail lights, wipers and dash lights all went out today. I can't see all this being a single fuse but will try the M17 & 18

Default Driver side Rear Tail Light not working

I have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler sport unlimited and the tail light is not working it works on the passenger side but not the driver side. The turn signal and brake lights work so I am not sure why I have replaced the bulbs and that did not work. any suggestions or have seen this issue before?
