Go with a compustar 2 way alarm/start combo with an ADS ALCA bypass and CH4 harness, it's plug an play no cutting any wires!! That is the best you will find!

Dies that run on digital freq or analog.
I like to find one that runs on the same type similar to text messaging. That way I assume it would be more consistent than one that runs on cellular. Reason being when I wanna start my jeep it will have better odds receiving it.
Kinda like when someone can text message but can't make a call!!!

I just had remote start installed on my 09 JKU 6 speed today. I was going back and forth between compustar and viper. Both are good systems with a large fan base. After much research I decided to go with Compustar. I got the CM6200 with ADS-ALCA and ADS-HRN CH5. I'm using the factory keys for now and can always add a 2 way remote or smart phone app later on. From what I understand, for a manual trans the compustar is more user, and installer friendly. The most important part of any system you decide on is the installation. Good luck and enjoy it.

Nice choice that's what I'm putting in today. And the carstarters run on RF unless you are using a smart start app (viper) or drone app (compustar).

If you are thinking of either of the two, make sure you get the remotes that go with the starter! If you have no cell reception at any point you will not be able to start your vehicle!! (You can still use the key, but who wants to do that? Lol)

I went with the Compustar 2W901R-SS 2way 5 button LCD remote/alarm system. Great range, plenty of options and very dependable. Rechargeable remote, and the shock sensors are adjustable for "open season". (no doors or top).
Had it installed professionally just to be covered under warranty.

Can't do any write ups on it lol! Would maybe put me outta a job lol! You will need the company u by the bypass from to flash the firmware onto it before anything anyway. And there will be warranty u need as well I wouldn't recommend installing by yourself, that's a large chunk of money u spent on a jeep, I wouldn't wanna miss something in a write up and blow up your electrical system lol

The best idea is to try to find someone at one of the shops that has been doing installs for over two years. I say over two years because that means that they are committed and understand how it works. Jeeps are fairly easy to work on so if there is any humming and hawwing over whether they will do it or not turn around and go to the next shop!
I have seen good best buy's and I have seen them hire people fresh off the street that don't know there ass from there elbow. It's scary to think that they would say "just read the directions" to these people! It's a lot more than that, testing and re testing.
I guess just do your homework on the shop u decide on. More expensive is not always better!!! If you get too stuck you could always come up to Canada! Lol ill do it for ya!
