Default Remote Start

Hey Guys. I'm a newbie here. I haven't looked at all the threads here but my girlfriend bought me a Mopar remote start. Does anyone have a price on install and programming from the dealership?

Hopefully you have an auto transmission as dealers up here won't install a remote on manuals.

I dont see why not, I have a remote start on my WRX. You have to have your foot on the brake, put the car in neutral, set he hand brake, release the foot brake, then turn the car off. If you miss any of the steps or if any car door is unlocked or opened the car will not remote start. If you do get in the car to reset you have have all doors closed, start the car, put it in gear and move it a few feet, ( i normally reverse then drive forward to the original spot) then go through the process again of turning off the car.

Punisher you will probably have to call a dealership to see what their price is, labor rate from state to state might be different, even going from one shop to another might differ.

Faalin- I too have a manual and remote start, but all of the parking brake and gear grounds can be bypassed in 4low so I'm not 100% convinced the system is fault proof like mechanically choosing Park. That being said- my system doesn't work well (it doesn't remember that I've followed the steps listed above) and as a result, I don't use it much. I have a lifetime warranty/ guarantee on the install, but the folks who installed it have been in a few times and haven't been able to make it work 100% of the time. If I choose to program the system as an automatic then it doesn't require any of the steps, just the brake set and hood closed.
