Replacing overhead speakers
It's built-in I believe....and from what I heard, the stock radio is a bit tricky to "work around" with aftermarket speakers/subs. Not some radio guru, but my friend is and he said aftermarket headunits are as simple as plug and play....
Yeah, just sucks to have paid for the stock nav, dvd, harddrive touchscreen and then upgrade. I don't mind the way the stock functions and I like the way it looks in the dash. There's got to be a nice way to upgrade the speakers and sub with an amp and retain the stock h/u. I know there is a ton of topics on this, so I'm going to go searching.
I just ordered a 13 Wrangler Sahara, and was looking at the touchscreen Nav option. went into local electronic store and talked to a buddy....wanted to use the money for those upgrades and see what he could do for me. we are going to leave the speakers as they are for now, and I am getting a Kenwood touchscreen head unit with garmin lifetime updates and parrot bluetooth. have to add XM/Sirius antenna and pieces to use steering wheel controls and all that, but he can do it installed for about $1400. a lot less than the upgrades from factory. and he also mentioned that no amp would be needed, there is enough clean power from the head unit.
