Default Rev App for Iphone

Got my Kiwi wifi for the obdII port. The app seems like a cool toy with some handy info reporting to it.

Here are some pics:

Buttons in green are reported by the Jk's ECU:

Messed up work schedule this weekend, so no real chance to drive around with it yet.

What will they think of next. Hard to keep up with the tech. Pretty cool app. though. I guess next we will have to figure out were we are going to mount the I-Pad to the front dash

Default $

The Kiwi transmitter is a bit pricey at $149.00, I only went for it because I had a gift card to burn.

The Aeroforce Gauge is also cool with almost unlimited pod mounting options, but not cheap either.

There are a handfull of other programs that can use the wifi dongle including a couple for the PC.
I think the app will be cool when I breakdown and get a hypertech programmer, might give some insight into engine load and other stuff. It would be a cool tool to see if a CAI really changes the air intake temp.

Mostly a gadet to play with and look cool mounted on the dash.

Nope no tranny temp. Not sure about the other iphone app DashCommand

Does the ECU report it? Is there a sensor in place I have seen a few guys on here installing temp probes. Something out of my league requiring welding.

So far the only complaint about the app is that it loses contact with the dongle. I think this is a iphone problem, if another strong wifi signal appears it seems to want to leave the Kiwi, sometimes it will return itself, but a few times I have had to leave the app and go to setting to reselect it.

Damm I need the tranny temp so I can start my experiments with tranny cooling with out adding another cooler. I think the cooler the jeep comes with is getting no air flow so I'm going to make an air scoop and/or add a fan. The Aeroforce intercepter gauge will read the tranny temp from the ODB2 port with out installing a sensor but it's a little too much for me to buy so I can play.
I e-mailed the dash commander tech and they said it doesn't record the tranny temp either

thanks
