I'm thinking of adding some lights to the top of the loop on the Rugged Ridge XHD Front Bumper. I know the tubing is 2 3/8'' OD. Having a hard time figuring out a mounting configuration.
I'm looking a installing some rectangle 6''x 9''s . I'd like to install rounds but I think they will stick up above the hood line. If anyone has pics of some lights mounted here please share them with me. Also, need some mounting suggestions that don't require drilling into the tubing.
Thanks,
Tony

Well, I just bought this bumper and I was planning on moving the lights from my bumper to windshield mounts. I did notice that the hoop has four bolts that secure it to the bumper though. They might be long and thin enought that you may be able to mount the lights with the front/outside bolts.

But, can you see the top of the lights from the drivers seat? that's something I'm trying to avoid. Looking at buying some 6 1/2'' x 4'' KC's (rectangular)
personally, I'd rather not drill through the tube. I was thinking something more along these lines: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Light...8419QQtcZphoto
Cant seem to find one bigger than 2''. If I could find a 3'' one I could shim it down to fit...
I have the stinger and the lights poke over the hood line a little bit
the hoop is quite a bit shorter, so I don't think you will see the lights at all
I have a pic from the driver's seat, but I cannot find it right now

I actually have this bumper and had the same issue. I didn't want to drill the hoop either. I went to the local ace hardware for ideas, and found chain link fence parts worked great. They make an offset post link with a mount hole in it you just have to drill out a little. It is sort of shaped like this 0_ Anyway, was gonna paint them and line with rubber on the inside so they wouldn't slip, then it hit me, get some 1 1/2" shrink wrap, slide it around, and shrink it down. It urned out really nice, will post some pics later if you want them.
