my guess is that it is an air gauge for an auxillary air tank. maybe he's got a tank hidden in the storage compartment using the woods tub.

for those that want to know, for a sub under the seat, i am running a 10" pioneer shallow mount, the box is at its minimum ( so .35 cubic feet) on the drivers seat there is a L bracket that needs to be cut off (involves taking rail apart) and the bracket that hold the sensor needs to come off (total PITA) and relocated to bottom of the seat rail closest to the center console (this bracket needs to be modified slightly to be able to have the sensor snap back on in its new position).

another note for the sub box when taking measurements remember to account for the tranny hump toward the front closest to the console (or else the box will be pushed up closer to the bottom of the seat and might restrict movement) i forgot this but luckily it still turned out that it fit and worked, just my seat will not go ALL the way back, but i works perfect for how far back i sit...

the box is not noticeable from the front and you can just see it from the back seat which means you lose some toe room (BUT NO CARGO ROOM )

sound wise is good, will get better once i redo the box later in the summer to bump it to about .5 cubic feet by doing a fiberglass enclosure, but still sounds good for what it is from ALL seating positions, driver gets the most vibration of course.

sorry i didn't take pics while i was installing, if i get ambitious i'll go rip out the driver seat and take pic later today so yo can have a better idea on the set up instead of trying to follow my blabbering on...
