Sirius Ready

those conectors are not the same..did that actually plug in to the radio??? i purchase an antenna from circuit city and it would not fit into the 6 disc sirius radio...I had to cut the cables and solder the splice of the two. I am curious if you physically plugged it in . i searched and the mopar radio uses something called FAKRA SMB connector versus what is currently available which is SMB connector.http://www.tss-radio.com/terk-sirmin...vers-p-38.html

kit from mopar:

closeup of antenna conn:

The yellow plastic around the connector can be removed and is not neccessary for a connection. The other black connector in the pic is from a sirius antenna from a regular SirriusCONNECT kit for an alpine radio. All SAT radio antennas are the same connector style. I havn't tested the normal sirius antenna yet to make sure it works, but the mopar kit is just a glorified harness (antenna extension cable) with special mounts and clips to hold it the the jeep perfectly and the antenna bolts to the bracket on the roll bar instead of the normal magnetic mount that regular anteanna utilize.
