I bought a factory head unit off ebay out of a 2013 Jk and to my surprise when I called to start a new account they asked if I knew about the trial subscription. I said no and she told me I had a free 1 year subscription! So these tips will help out. I love satellite radio. Especially on trips.

Well,,,, like most young people, I have about 2,000 songs on my phone, ( I'm 58 ), plugged into the aux input, I listen to whatever I'm feeling, and hey, since I need a phone anyways, the music is all free..and so is the "hands free phone" through the stereo it gives me...
I do have sirius, but when it expires, ciao,,,,,,Bonus, I plug it into the stereo in the garage when I'm working on mods or something, and don't kill the battery in the jeep....
I dunno, I can listen to my favorite channel on sirius (classic vinyl) and really only get into about 20% of the tunes they play....food for thought...

The free year of Sirius that was supposed to come with my new 2011 purchased when the 2012 came out was a farce. Complained to the dealer, they said complain to Sirius, I ended up with 2 months of "free" radio because my JK was then a year old from manufacture. Rip-off! Well, I did as it was mentioned and told Sirius I refused to pay and they gave me the deal of 50% off for the following year.
Good enough I guess, so now I can listen to Fox news anytime I want.

You could always become a car audio installer (like myself) and get it for free lol I wouldn't pay monthly for it though, look into some apps with the iPhone some of them will play sports channels or whatever

We let the 1 yr free deal expire on the wifes jeep cause she didnt ever listen to it. But after 6 months past expiring, they are still sending offers. I still have about 6 months left in my jeep and plan to get a discounted renewal when the time comes. Im a "blue collar comedy" & "raw dog comedy" junkie.

We've been renewing every year for 50% off for some time now... Just call and tell them it's not worth full price to you. If they get some money, that's better than no money!

So many channels with commercial free music plus tons of talk radio and no nanny filters. $15/mo is a bargain, or you can negotiate.

Terrestrial (that's AM/FM) radio sucks.
