Small proximity alarm system
Anyone aware of an alarm system that will cover a small 2-3 foot proximity and no more? The concept of operation is to protect the interior of the jeep, mainly center console. I would not like the ones that go off when someone walks closely to the jeep. Too many false alarms.
Any help is appreciated. I am new to the forum and am excited to be a part of it!

Viper prox sensors and I'm guessing most all of them are adjustable. Single zone sensors cover the interior. Dual zone has a warning for exterior and then triggers alarm on interior. Trial and error until you get it where you want it.
From the FSM
"The export premium version of the VTA system is only available in vehicles manufactured for sale in certain markets where it is required equipment. The export premium version of the VTA provides the same perimeter protection features as the base version, but adds interior vehicle intrusion protection. The export premium VTA also enhances the pulsing horn feature of the base version with an alarm siren as the audible deterrent, while retaining the flashing exterior lamps as the visual deterrent."

Not to offer something you don't want, but I read an article on how hidden cameras have been helping catch thieves and recover stolen goods. Now cops are using them in bait cars, but I can see how, with some tweaking, it could help someone identify someone that went into their car and who it was.
