solved alpine sound system issue
I just recently purchased a 2013 wrangler unlimited. I also was not impressed with the alpine sound system. There was no punch and the treble was lacking. It just sounded muddy. This is going to sound strange. I turned the mid down to -8, treble to+9, bass to +5. For whatever reason this cleaned up the sound dramatically. Treble was better, bass was now punchy, and the muddy sound was gone. I was ready to replace all the speakers, but now it rocks. Hope this helps:rock::rock:

That's funny, I have a 2013 also and I was not impressed what so ever with the audio system. I've dealt with it for the last month and a half until I did the exact same thing that you just described and it sounds much better!

First thing I did when then just delivered mine an hour ago!

wow. I'm gonna do this right now

I took delivery on a 2012 in June and wound up with the Alpine. The first thing I did was adjust the EQ. Any sound system will sound muddy with the midrange at half or higher.

Sounds much better. Just ordered new sub and amp.

I am going to have to give this a try, because i am not to happy about the difference from the infinity systems.

Hell I love the new sound system compared to the one I had in my 2007. I noticed that my music sounds better when being played through my Zune rather than the radio which I can assume is a digital thing?

I tried this and my speakers sounded like they were about to come apart with any volume, had to back off the bass. I did notice it made a huge difference on what type of music you are playing as well.
