Default Sound Install Jeep JK unlimited rubicon CRD

Hi guys

Here is my install in my 2011 JK CRD. Since years I am addicted to car audio so it was pretty clear that also my JK had to have some nice stereo.

Here is the equipement that i used:
Headunit: Alpine INA-W910r (Nav)
DSP: Alpine PXA-H701
Tweeter: Micro Precision Ringradiatoren
Mids: Morel CDM 88
Kicks: Morel EW 638
Amp: Audison VRX 6.420 direct
Sub: Phase Linear Aliante 12 si
Sub Amp: DLS A6
Accesories: JVC DVB-T (TV), WD TV, Stinger SPV20 battery, 2x 1.3F Cap, lots of little stuff

The electronic is located in the trunk. The amps and dsp are bolted on spacers so that water on the rack is no issue. At least a little water ;-)

Looks legit, but is there going to be a temp issue? not sure if there is alot of air flow with that small box.

I still have to shorten the signal cables - the distance between amp and dsp got pretty short

No temp issue - had those amp under the trunk in the compartment where the spare wheel should be located in my BMW. They never had an issue. Not even after 5 hours on the highway listening to loud music. It will work.

And these are the famous enclosures from the dash. I put metall rings on to bolt the speakers on them. I also added some polyfill.

If you have any questions regarding the install, please feel free to post.

That looks great man! Do you have any issues with the enclosures resonating? And great choice of equipment!

The ones in the dash? Nope, they dont resonate or not too much. Havent had too much time to enjoy the install yet. Still have to do some alignment.
But the soundbar does resonate heavily ;-)

A little update - since i will need all the space i can get - expecting a little fellow jeeper ;-) - i ripped it all appart.

Now i am running the setupwith the stock amp. Have a rockford fosgate 8" installed in the stock infinity enclosure.

Future plans:
6 channel Eton PA 4506 installed next to the stock sub on the right side of the trunk
Alpine pxa-700 under the driver seat.
In dash speaker enclosures will be connected to an extra enclosure (kickpanel) to gain around 6-7 liters (2 gal)
Will keep the front speakers 2way - so i wont need an extra amp - if that wont work i will put an extra amp under the glove box.

So the only constant are the changes...

Cheers jp

How did you make those metal spacer rings for the mids? What material did you use, etc?
