Default Stock amp question

Just bought a 2007 JKU Saturday, just got a build sheet today. I haven't been able to find an amp, reading posts here it should be the steering column correct? I have a RES head unit, 6 speakers, but no amp specified on build sheet. I am guessing it WOULD be listed separately correct? So I guess I have no amp. Do I still need to use this $135 CHTO-013BB harness adapter if no STOCK amp is present? What if I go after market amp, do I need to use the CHTO-013BB harness?

Thanks,
Tom

I don't think you have an amp. Are you just adding a sub? If so you could use a line out converter instead of a harness.

Replacing the head unit, eventually replacing stock speakers, and adding a sub.

Thanks,
Tom

Anyone have a pic of where the stock amp is located. Every thing I read says behind the panel by the steering wheel. I hate stopping mid job, running for parts, I want everything here when I start. Also, if I DONT have an amp, I am assuming when I put an amp in, I will retain the "non amp" harness. If I choose non infinity system it says one harness, my RES radio has the lazy 8, that is what I assume is Infinity, but the harness avail is the with amp harness. I am so confused.

Thanks

I dont have a picture, but unless you have a sub... you dont have the stock amp. The "premium" system came with the amp and sub being the only difference in extra components from the base radio.

Thanks, that clears that up, so I
Guess I use the non infinity harness then?

Thanks,
Tom
