Default Stock headlights issues

Hey! Got me a used 08Jk in basic stock condition.

For some reason i have yet to discover.
My high beams will not run/function while the vehicle is moving...
They work fine while stationary.
But once moving they immediately switch back to low. Regardless of lever position.

I've checked the connections and nothing seems out of place. No corrosion either.

Even weirder is that it's both lamps that do this simultaneously...

Any ideas?
*Just realized this may be the wrong place for this question, if so mods please move.

Did you check the left turn signal stalk that has the headlight switch on it? Seems your issue would be at the switch if both lights are acting up at the same time.

I just recently found a page regarding a very similar issue as mine. And they also mentioned the switch/stalk.
I checked it and it seems to be operating normally. Thought it does feel "mushier"(?) Than on my previous car.
I just assumed different manufacturer tolerances.

It's just odd they work normally while stationary then fail while the jeep is moving.

But at least it's a start to find the issue.
I'll fake a closer look at it.

What happens if you jiggle the stalk while driving? Do the high beams come on for any amount of time?

The stalk is a bit wobbly, but the switch actuation is crisp. It's no more wobbly than the wiper stalk.

I will check again on the drive home tonight.
But i did mess with it last night and noticed NO flickering of the highs.
Highs are basically ON while parked, and auto switch to low once around 20mph. Regardless of the position of the lever/switch.
When actuating the lever while driving the lights will momentarily switch to high then inmediately back to low. No flickering.

Do you have fog lights equipped? If so are they functioning as normal or are they being screwy too?

Nope, aside from aftermarket rims, the X is bone stock...(for now &#128517

All other lights function normal except for a burnt out right fender turn signal.
No fogs, no LEDs.

Thanks.
It's starting to look like it's either the stalk or the switch. Since sometimes the won't stay on while parked either.
