Strange Plug under Dash

Ok, I found a strange "unused" wire harness plug attached under the driver side dash (in the footwell). It just in front of the door plug (which is how I fond it :brows: ) I have the 2009 if it matters.

Anyone know what its for?

If your talking about the plug in the center of the picture, it's what you plug a scan tool into.

thats where you can plug in the fuel accelerator control system. it will drastically improve your gas mileage, and add 46.2 % more horse power.

AHHHH. That makes sense. Never knew where they plugged in.

Thanks.

OBD II stands for On Board Diagonostics, Ver II. It's an interface for the vehicles onboard computer. That's where the dealer and in some states emissions testers plug in thier diagnostic computers to get information from the vehicle.

They make a varity of products that interface with it such as programmers (Hypertech, AEV ProCal, Etc), readers, and gauges that run off OBD II.

OBDII is pretty common on all vehicles made after about 94-95 or so.

Where is the piece that is supposed to be plugged into it? I bet you are getting horrible gas mileage and way less power! Go to the dealer and tell them you are missing that piece and get them to order you one!

That sure looks like a flux capacitor to me
