Thanks a lot for doing this schematic. I currently have my Rigid reverse lights directly tied into my tail lamps, but also want manual control so this is much appreciated. One question.

I would like to run my lights from 2 switches. One up front that gives me auto/manual control and one in the cargo area that also can be used to activate the lights. I assume this is no harder than having two switches hooked up in parallel to pin 85 on the bottom relay correct? I realize that if one is on the other won't turn it off, I'm ok with that.

OK, So I am new to this forum and will be starting this project over the next couple of weekends. I know this is an old thread, but the amount of detail is amazing 14Sport you are awesome, your write-up as well as the input and ideas of the others has made this almost a no brainer for me. However after reading the entire tread I started to feel like a window licker and need help with a couple of things, as well as beat the heck out of a dead horse.

I already have the lights, bumper will be here Monday and the other materials will be pretty easy to pick up. I want to wire this into a on-off-on switch so I don't blind everyone behind me when in reverse (as in auto-off-on). And I think that I have a fairly ok understanding of how to do this with the help of your thread, but the diode part has me perplexed. I'm not a complete wiring dummy, as I have done a couple projects in the past and my Jeep hasn't burned up yet....

Do I absolutely need the Diode or with the double relay is that a mute point? If I do need the diode, what the heck am I getting? I found this, https://www.amazon.com/Littelfuse-02...tomotive+diode and am assuming that I would place it in a inline fuse holder.

Am I way out in left field, or am I within hand grenade range?

You do not need the diode or dual relays with an on/off/on switch. Follow the very first schematic in post 1.

Thanks! After I posted that I realized that. I ended up finding everything at autozone so I should be getting everything wired up Monday after my bumper comes in.

This next one is for the guys that aren't interested in using a 3 position switch because they use Conturas or regular toggles. It's a dual relay design that will cut the power feed from the reverse circuit when the switch is turned on. This will also turn on the reverse light though but won't backfeed the reverse circuit. I'm wondering if this will cause both reverse lights to turn on or just the one?

Hi... I am hoping to wire in my aux turn around lights with the goal that I have the alternative of either having them gone ahead when I toss the truck backward, OR when I flip a switch on the scramble.. I am completely confused with regards to how to set this up. Would anyone be able to guide me?

I realize how to wire everything up without integrating with the OEM switch light circuit, it's the manner by which to tie in and make it work that has me puzzled.
