Switch panel for 2011
I ordered a daystar lower switch panel for my 2011 rubicon. I ordered it from quadratec, its advertised to fit a 2011, it dosent fit. Oh well its only 19 bucks, no big deal. Was wondering if there could be a way to modify the 2 together. Dont know where else to put switches ??

Your guess is as good as mine man. I would think there would be a way?? And I didn't think daystar made a 2011 panel.. Yet..?

I also am looking at adding some lights so I will need switches.. there are three places that I was thinking of. next to Lockers and sway bar switch, the switch panel for the hazard, AC plug enable, etc. 3 empty switches on this panel and then those with 2dr below the two window switches is room for two switches.
1st lockers switch area http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/...h/IMG_5229.jpg 2nd panel switch for hazards...etc http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/...h/IMG_5225.jpg 3rd for 2dr jeeps, below to 2 window switches... http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/...h/IMG_5230.jpg as for switches... I was hoping I could get switches that would look similar.. subscribed  |
you can always get a off road engineering custom switch panel like this....
http://project-jk.com/gallery2/main...._itemId=269829 yes, this is on an 07 but, if you use a 2011-up daystar panel, you can mount in the same location. of course, being that the switch panel is so thin and small, you can mount it just about anywhere as you can see below. Other than using a Daystar panel, to the left of the steering wheel just above the speaker would proably be the easiest place to install one of these... http://project-jk.com/gallery2/main...._itemId=272286 Or, you could install it just under the center console as shown. http://project-jk.com/gallery2/main...._itemId=272284 Just behind the cup holders might work well too... http://project-jk.com/gallery2/main...._itemId=272282 I have a Rock Hard Sport Cage and almost installed it here... http://project-jk.com/gallery2/main...._itemId=272280 Heck, I even thought about installing it under the e-brake lever... http://project-jk.com/gallery2/main...._itemId=272278 Being so small and light, you could easily install one on the plastic windshield header cover like this too... http://project-jk.com/gallery2/main...._itemId=272276 I have also seen where someone ordered theirs to be vertical so that they could mount it to the a-pillar. :yup: offroadengineering.com/product-multiplex-system.html |
I'm considering more and more to mount switches directly into the A piller. Saw a couple daystar switches mounted sideways. Has to be alot of room back there. I'm thinking about the small round switches if I cut into the A piller, or I'll hack up a daystar mount and mount it above the rear view. New panel is cheep if I mess it up bad.

I like the A Pillar mount the best. Looking the rugged ridge one. This way if you ever sell, or trade your jeep you can easly remove that put the factory one back a boom good as new. Plus OTRATTW make some nice switches to go in there.

Wired HDH
I posted this on another thread but it is getting a few days old and no one has responded to it, so I thought I'd give it another try on a fresher topic. Wondering if anyone has used or heard reviews from the wired hdh flat switch panel. It's not the cheapest way to add a switch, especially if you need the addition of relays for larger power draw, but it looks nice and claims to be made well.
