Default Switches too bright

I recently bought the daystar switch panel and 4 of the contura style switches. They're brighter than I expected and will likely be a distraction at night. I'm using them the throw a relay so I'm wondering if I can put something between the power source and the switch to dim them and still have enough power to throw the relays. Alternativley, since they are SPST switches can I wire them so that they're only lit when the switch is in the on position?

Are they Daystar switches or can you post the product ID of the switches?

You shouldn't "buck" the voltage to the switches. You would probably have to reduce it enough to damage the relays before it even made a differance anyway. Just try and paint the LED's. One or two light coats should do the trick.

I put a piece of electrical tape over the offending switches and cut with a razor blade so it just fits over the light.

I do want some light ideally. Just not that much. For reference this is with the dash dimmer all the way up.

You could try just putting the tape on half of it and adjust with more or less as needed.

Window tint may be hard to cut and line up right . Could use plastic lens tint that people use to tint their lights
