The color of the Jeep's power/ground/reverse wire going in, isn't the same color coming out the connector (they switch the colors !!). It took me the darnest time to trouble shoot when I removed the redundant connector on the second corner side, there is no need to keep it and allow it to rattle around inside.

So I haven't answered your question, I'll look tonight.
Did you keep the plastic connector ?

Here's a link to the resistors I bought : Mobile Site Preview
I kept the stock pigtail and just cut off where the old light was wired in and then hooked up the round led tail light. These things are about to kill me I can post some pictures later if that would help.

Just hook one side of the resistor to the ground and the other to the hot

This should answer, the wiring details in the install instructions I used :

Brake lights :
JK's Purple/White (+) = Running Light Power
JK's Black (-) = Ground
JK's Yellow/White (+) = Turn Signal/Brake Power

Reverse lights :
JK's Green/White (+) = Reverse Power
JK's Black (-) = Ground

Looks good to me. Where does the resistor go in this equation?

so on these :

JK's Black (-) = Ground
JK's Yellow/White (+) = Turn Signal/Brake Power

Touch the wires together and have a buddy sit in drivers seat to test the blinkers slow down, before wrapping and sealing.

The resister gets wired in parallel with the tail light, so you connect on end to the ground and the other to the power. Wiring in parallel keeps voltage the same while increasing amps. This is to "fool" the jeep into believing you're running an oem tail light that has a standard incandescent bulb that pulls more power than an led. Hope this makes sense
That helps me understand a lot better, thanks! I have a resistor in there already but one came pre-wired into the tail light as well. I dont know if i should remove it from the tail light and try wiring it in the way you described or ignore it and try to wire the old resistor into the new light....
